A warm LED sits inside the orb and lights it from within, so the orb glows softly between the dark fingers when it is on. The staff rises from a base of jagged black stone, twisting up into a narrow waist and opening into four tall pointed fingers around the orb. It is painted by hand in black and sealed with a glossy clear coat. The orb is clear and hollow, smooth like a pearl, and softly frosted inside so the light glows instead of glaring. Steel weights sit inside the stone base, so the tall staff stands steady on a desk, shelf or nightstand.
